Last week Facebook bought the virtual-reality headset Oculus Rift for $2 billion. On a conference call, chief executive Mark Zuckerberg and other Facebook executives laid out their strategy behind the acquisition. “There aren’t many things that have the potential to be the next big computing platform. Oculus has the potential to be the most social platform ever.
