Last week, I was one of over 170,000 attendees who descended on San Francisco for Salesforce’s annuall Dreamforce conference. By all accounts, the largest technology conference in the world. This year Dreamforce’s camping and hiking theme was based off of Salesforce’s highly acclaimed online learning platform, called Trailhead. With 2700 educational sessions to attend, Dreamforce definitely felt like Trailhead LIVE. As a result attendees were called Trailblazers; but Salesforce was quick to point out that we were Trailblazers because we can build cutting edge solutions on the Salesforce platform. Below are the top 5 technology announcements made during the four day conference that definitely will make any company a true Trailblazer:

  1. myEinstein
To me, the overriding theme of this year’s Dreamforce was Salesforce’s AI tool, called Einstein. Einstein was everywhere at Dreamforce from Sales to Service to Marketing. Salesforce is hoping to level the playing field so that any company can utilize AI for complex data analysis without having to hire a PhD Data Scientist. They announced a new product suite called myEinstein, which allows Trailblazers to easily build and utilize AI tools for their custom data using the Salesforce platform. MyEinstein consists of  the “Einstein Prediction Builder” (pilot) which analyzes custom data, Einstein Bots (pilot) which can augment support and other processes, Einstein Language (beta) to understand intent and sentiment and Einstein Vision for image recognition for brands, products and more.
  1. mySalesforce
Also announced was the ability to quickly create and publish custom branded mobile apps. When ready to publish, the Salesforce Listing Wizard makes it easy to add your app to Google Play or the App store.
  1. myIOT
Salesforce’s intuitive UI allows trailblazers to quickly connect Salesforce CRM to devices without code. Linking device data in customer context can drive better service and sales.
  1. myTrailhead
Trailblazers were also excited to hear that they can now build their own online training tool on the wildly popular Trailhead platform. This allows them to gamify training while motivating and tracking employees.
  1. Global Partnerships
CEO, Marc Benioff, announced a deep partnership with Google. Now Salesforce users can see Analytics 360, Gmail, Calendar and more directly inside of Salesforce CRM. Also announced was a partnership between the Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Sitecore , allowing companies to easily integrate content from their Sitecore CMS into Marketing Cloud I left Dreamforce excited about all the new tools and technologies that Salesforce is making available. I definitely feel like a true Trailblazer.
