With over 33 years of experience, Atul has played a pivotal role in advancing the Product Engineering space. As the head of Global Medical Device and Connected Health business at Capgemini, he also leads the IoT and IIoT practice, developing strategies for various industries, including medical devices, utilities, and automotive.
Atul serves on the IET Future Tech panel for Connected Healthcare and is the CTIO for Capgemini’s Connected Futures Practice. A thought leader in his field, he has crafted complex solutions utilizing SaaS, mobile technology, big data, and cloud architectures, and is now integrating Gen AI into the medical industry.
His expertise in IoT encompasses device connectivity, cloud solutions, and real-time analytics, paired with a strong understanding of data privacy and cybersecurity in regulated environments. Atul is well-versed in medical regulations and standards, including EU MDR, HL7, and ISO 13485.
Throughout his 29 years at Capgemini, he has led numerous technology workshops, published white papers, and developed reusable assets that drive value for clients. He manages partnerships with PTC, Microsoft, and AWS, focusing on IoT/IIoT initiatives and generating GTM revenues.
Atul is a hands-on practitioner responsible for key accounts like Siemens and Medtronic, and he advises the Government of India on healthcare sector policies as part of the FICCI Science & Tech committee. Additionally, he is a member of the Expert Council on IoT at IIT Mumbai and holds certifications as a SAFe Architect and L4 Master Architect at Capgemini.
