I would point, as a matter of furthering your thoughts, on “the next one hundred years”, a seminal book by George Friedman where there are some chapters about the future wars, based mainly on space action and terrestrial exoskeleted soldiers. it is not science fiction, nor fantasy, but a strong & serious projection, based on facts and deep analysis.
