A lot of people in IT have a similar hobby when you ask them: gaming. Computer games can be a great escape from reality, and they allow you to live lives otherwise impossible. However, they can also be very competitive. That’s the life that esports athletes live, where you have to perform at the highest level every single moment. That takes talent, dedication, and a strong team behind you.
During this talk, I will shed some light on some of the things that go on behind the scenes and what it takes to be a true esporter.
My name is Joessi Moorman, but I’m mostly known by my alias “Juicy”. I decided to turn my life around in the summer of 2020, and decided to pursue a career in the ever growing field of esports. Since then, I’ve given commentary for multiple national and international tournaments, and have coached the Dutch Rocket League Team to a silver Medal in the Intel World Open.
