SustainableIT

Digital accessibility is everyone’s business, but still too many websites do not comply with the RGAA. We are proposing a solution to help make websites more accessible. SustainableIT is a research project aimed at developing an automatic tool for auditing websites in compliance with the RGAA (Référentiel Général d’Amélioration de l’Accessibilité). Our first objective is to be able to automatically identify information-carrying images on websites in order to check whether they have a text alternative as stipulated by the RGAA. If there is no textual alternative, we will automatically suggest one. The core of the project is based on artificial intelligence, using computer vision and NLP.
