While working on my undergraduate degree, I was a member of the Internet Security Club where we held hackathons, discussions, and organized capture the flag and other security events in order to keep up with emerging trends in security. I also became a member of the Association of Information Technology Professionals, an organization that helps connect those in our field to each other, hosts educational events and meet-ups, and filters relevant news directly to the group. After a year of maintaining a 4.0 in the MBA program I was invited to join the National Honors Society. More important, however, were the relationships I built while earning two Masters degrees. I have since been a member of the University of Texas at Arlington’s Analytics Council, where we help guide curriculum decisions, and put UTA in touch with the business world and their needs. In fact, fellow Sogeti member Gavin Berry is on that same council with me. During my time on that council, I organized the UTA Analytics competition for two years and helped to plan the annual symposium. I regularly speak to graduating classes at the request of the professors that helped prepare me for my own career. While I have an extensive technical machine learning resume, my professional consulting experience has only just begun by joining Sogeti. I hope to contribute my broad base of fundamental machine learning education and experience to any and every problem that arise for Sogeti and our clients.
