Recently Richard Brown, executive architect with IBM, talked in an interview about the cryptocurrency Bitcoin. In this video he talks about the bright future for the Bitcoin. The interesting thing is that he sees the Bitcoin in a complete different view. “The innovation of Bitcoin isn’t the creation of a new asset class or a get-rich-quick scheme – Bitcoins as a currency are just one application for the core technology of the Bitcoin network.the underlying genius of Bitcoin is the invention of a globally distributed and decentralised digital asset register, enabled through a stunning breakthrough in computer science: distributed consensus.” In the end of the video Brown starts talking about a world where The Internet of Things connects with the BlockChain of the Bitcoin platform. In this way “intelligent” machines can be become a new economic agent in our economy! “On the blockchain nobody knows you’re a fridge!”. duivestein_m2m
