Expert Talk: The CIA’s “Grand Challenges” with Big Data

The CIA and Big Data. We have already tweeted about some of the very interesting talks at GigaOM Structure:Data event last week and I already posted a talk from the conference by Samantha Ravich, co-chair of the National Commission for the Review of Research and Development in the Intelligence Community, on how intelligence analysts need to work hand-in-hand with technologists and data scientists to find new ways of understanding context in data, to this blog. This week I want to focus on a talk from the CIA at that same conference, it is interesting to hear from their perspective on how to get value out of Big Data, especially with ubiquitous sensor surveillaince around the corner.
