Speech Recognition Breakthrough for the Spoken, Translated Word

Chief Research Officer Rick Rashid demonstrates a speech recognition breakthrough via machine translation that converts his spoken English words into computer-generated Chinese language. The breakthrough is patterned after deep neural networks and significantly reduces errors in spoken as well as written translation. Thanks to the internet “space” and “time” are no longer barriers. With this kind of speech recognition technology “language” also isn’t a barrier any more. Again, a new kind of media, “language”, that can be added to the stack of big data. More information that we can aggregate, mashup, filter, and search for new values and insights. Thanks to big data the world becomes a small place.
