As of today the Dutch version of our report Big Data: Privacy, Technology and the Law is available for download. You can download Big Data: Privacy, Technology and the Law by clicking on the cover on the left or by visiting our download page where you can also find our first and second report on Big Data in both English and Dutch. You can also visit FrankWatching or Marketingfacts, two of the biggest communications- and marketingblogs in the Netherlands, who are also publishing our report. The report deals with the fact that the same tools that drive organizations towards data driven business and could have a high impact on marketing, process optimizing, also raise real concerns about new privacy intrusive technological possibilities such as re-identification, ubiquitous monitoring and thorough risk analyses on an individual level. Organisations and their customers need to find a healthy balance that suits both parties. In this report VINT presents Privacy by Design, Privacy-Enhancing Technologies and legislation as the winning strategy to make Big Data efforts profitable without harming the trust of customers. Our fourth report in our big data series will be focused on a Big Data Roadmap and will be available in May.
